As a Roon endpoint, the unit stops playing DSD512 streams abruptly after about 10 minutes. The Roon app says “lost control of Roon device” and I need to restart start the playback from the A6 app or the touchscreen directly. Is this a bug?
I don't think it's a bug, I use HQPe w/ ROON outputting the following: ROON/HQP ----> RoPieee/NAA ----> USBC-In---->DMP-A6 ....which is DSD512 and works well, no issues. I would suggest checking your connectivity/network. Are you wired or wireless?
I’m not sure if it’s the same setup in your case, where the A6 is connected as a USB DAC to HQP, if I’m not mistaken. In my case the A6 itself is the Roon endpoint. And it’s connected over a gigabit LAN so I don’t suspect connectivity issues.
I guess it's a bug on Eversolo or roon side. I also have this problem with DSD64 multichannel files. Happens from time to time. Not linked to specific files. I also experienced sudden stops with simple AIFF CD files. Let's hope for some fixes.
For me roon skips the track in between playback and plays the next one. Happening when I am upsampling DSD to 256
