Tashman, some time ago I was able to do a flash following this procedure, but I admit was not easy. In the original explanations there was some not clear instructions (current was correcterd by Zidoo), and the original flash file was ... strange. I was able to fash using a USB2 drive, if I remeber right was a 32GB one, FAT32 formatted with only one partition, and there was two files on it, the original zip file renamed as "install.image" and the contents of it , a file named "install.img" (this was a try by me, not an advice from someone!). Then I followed the procedure, with X9S switched off and the pendrive inserted in a USB2 port, holding the button behind the hole, powering on, waiting a little, releasing internal button, and waiting. After a while the exact messages shown in procedure pictures appeared on TV screen, and after some time (long) device rebooted successfully, with FW as expected. Can't help more then this.
To diagnostic your problem need a USB2TTL adapter, connect to UART and read boot log. And then it will be possible to find the cause.
For me Zidoo x9s is bricked after firmware flash. When power is on, only power on red lights. I have connected via USB TTL with the PC, it comes the following message: Code: C1:80000000 C2 ? C3hswitch frequency to 0x00000046 frequency divider is 0x00000080 switch frequency to 0x00000046 frequency divider is 0x00000004 switch to SDR 8 bit switch bus width to 0x00000008 bits success hwsetting size: 00000708 C4 f Time out Time out Time out End bit error get fsbl fail 5-5 C1:80000000 C2 ?uu3-1 Interrupt with empty key or Esc does not work, I can not enter commands in Putty. Please help.
I have followed the instructions from this site http://www.cnx-software.com/2017/03...android-firmware-on-realtek-rtd1295-tv-boxes/, but I get the error, see screenshots. Get out and plug in again does not help. But Zidoo X9s is recognized, as soon as I plug the plug into USB 3.0 and turn on. In the other 2 USB 2.0 ports no response. So this is the only way to get into life, or I have to send back to China. Screenshots:

I have encountered the same problem. Have you finally solved it? How was it solved? My TTL message: C1:80000000 C2 ? C3hswitch frequency to 0x00000046 frequency divider is 0x00000080 switch frequency to 0x00000046 frequency divider is 0x00000004 switch to SDR 8 bit switch bus width to 0x00000008 bits success hwsetting size: 00000940 C4 f Time out Time out Time out End bit error get fsbl fail 5-5 C1:80000000 C2 ?uu3-1
I just do it,but it's not work, ESC and Ctrl+Q is not work. TTL message like this: C1:80000000 C2 ? C3hswitch frequency to 0x00000046 frequency divider is 0x00000080 switch frequency to 0x00000046 frequency divider is 0x00000004 switch to SDR 8 bit switch bus width to 0x00000008 bits success hwsetting size: 00000940 C4 f Time out Time out Time out End bit error get fsbl fail 5-5 C1:80000000 C2 ?uu3-1
Hello, maybe it's a banality, but I thought about it for a long time before I came up with the following. I did everything as per the first post when booting the stock firmware (img) but still stuck at the opening logo, no booting. Then I realized that after the previous reset, after turning on the hardware switch, the device turned on immediately, and I pressed the reset button while doing so. After many attempts with formatting the disk and various files, I tried to turn off the main screen with the remote control and then turn it on with the remote control while pressing reset. And suddenly the img boot screen for the first time. Just the experience of an old cat.
