I keep getting a copy failed error message when I try to copy a file from an external HD connected to Zidoo via usb to an HD in the Zidoo expansion bay. The transfer consistently fails at 15.50gb - any ideas why? Thanks.
I transferred the file via wifi/shared folder from my pc to the zidoo - transfer worked fine and movie played without issue. I'll try with a different file today and see if there's any issues. I'm trying to use the external HD since using wifi is slow - maxing out at 10Mb/s.
Possibly a dodgy USB drive with a bad sector? It's always very telling if a file fails at the same place every time. Can you use a wired network - far more reliable and faster.
I tried to use a wired connection but I'm not very smart with network stuff.... or technology in general. I tried connecting my PC directly to the Zidoo via ethernet cable but couldn't figure out how to get them to communicate that way. I also tried connecting both the Zidoo and PC to my Deco mesh Wifi unit but the speed wasn't much better than just using wifi - maybe I was doing it wrong? My PC is over 10 years old now so it might just be my PC hardware that is slowing things down.... not sure. I figured out how to share a folder from my PC to Zidoo, and how to connect to the Zidoo Samba from my PC, but using the external HD is the fastest method I got to work so far. I appreciate the input - thank you.
If I do Cut/Paste a file.. it "DELETES" the FILE !!! yes you heard me CORRECT AND LOUD !!! not everytime but sometimes... : // please someone tell me you have a fix for this !! I am having issues while moving files on zidoo z9x.. external harddisk connected via usb 3.0 port.. and all i do is move a file (a song file like 200 mb flac) from a folder to another location and it gives an error on screen saying "error transferring file" or something like that.. and THE PROBLEM IS .. when I GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION WHERE I STARTED TRANSFERRING FILE.. THE FILE DOESNT EXIST ANYMORE... !!! SHEAT !!!.. any suggestions ???? and if someone's gonna suggest me to use copy/paste instead of cut/paste.. please STOP THERE !! pls dont !! I cant copy paste 60 GB movie files !!!! thats ridiculous sheet !!! it takes ages to do copying process of a 60 gb file !!! hehh !!!
