    Hello everyone,

I'm currently have both the Z20 Pro and the Neo X and both do not display the subtitles from mp4 files ripped using DVDFab. I have to disable "Subtitles" in order to remove the distracting "Chapter X" banner at the bottom of the display - I think this is the only way to remove it. The rest of the settings are all set to "Auto".

Anyone knows what else I can do and perhaps some other settings I can try? I cannot imagine myself redoing the rips again after spending so much time already.

    Thank you for the advice!

Sorry to say that you picked the wrong format to rip to.

Subtitle support in MP4 is sketchy at best (and certain audio formats are extremely problematic too).

You should have ripped to MKV.

You could try remuxing a couple of files to MKV using MKVToolnix - this allows Forced and Default flags to be set correctly and if this works for you, you can batch remux your MP4s.

This is a quick and lossless process as it's just changing the container and not the video/audio stream.
