1) In the the specifications it simply states: 2x DOH (Digital Over HDMI) chips, to support HDMI DSD Native and D2P multi-channel output. It is known that standard SOC based HDMI interfaces don't transfer DSD so that function is well understood. DoP could in principle work but mostly is neither supported hence the need for the chip. In the description it adds that these provide a 'high-precision independent clock' and may be used as a 'digital turntable'. I have no idea how this works and what to expect from it and above all what is meant with a "digital turntable". It is remarkable for sure how good the sound is using even a dirt cheap USB3 CD/DVD player connected. It beats most if not all (very) expensive CD-players from the past. This using HDMI and/or Analog for Audio output.
