DMP-A6 - Roon Implementation

Are there plans to further development the integration with the DMP-A6 and Roon? A couple of more days into using the DMP-A6 and Roon I am having issues playing either stereo or DSD64 multi-channel via Roon through HDMI. It plays fine through RCA and have tried DSD256.



I am assuming/hoping because it is show as Zidoo Neo S further work is under way? The album cover art work showing fine. still very happy with the Roon and A6 performance and not a show stopper I can play through HDMI using the Eversolo App. As stated I hope there I a bit more to come from Roon/Eversolo re the implementation for the A6

sorry, on another point PCM stereo and multichannel up to 5.1 works fine with Roon over HDMI, but not 7.1

 

I cannot get roon to play multichannel at all. Any ideas? A6 doesn't give me channel layout option.

have you check that your source is set to HDMI, on the Eversolo? you should then be able to setup 5.1 by selecting the DMP-A6 in Roon settings, it currently doesn't map to 7.1. I hope this works. You should also check that you have the latest firmware 1.75 ti show as DMP-A6 in Roon

Ok, this is so weird: I tried a DSD file I found online. IT WORKED, and the A6 showed up as a multi device. Thereafter, I was able to play multichannel as long as the AVR is on, using FLAC or DSD. NO CLUE WHY.

 

Cool, glad you sorted it! now you mentioned it, if an endpoint, which I think includes the AVR is off, Roon doesn't recognise the required setting, I found that with some of the setting I was trying to configure, that kept coming and going!
