I couldn't find any thread dealing specifically with Control4 and its use with the new series of Zidoo media players. Is anyone one using it successfully as a remote without turning on their TV or monitor screen?? I did find this https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/control4.html which says that the Z9S ,Z10 and X20 apparently cant use Control4 yet??? Is this correct??
Interesting. I assume it gives you the main page GUI on your device? Does it have to be on the same wifi network to access it?
No it is a remote control with several pages including one for Music Player. Just look around it is described in detail on several places.
the control4 driver is horrible! you have to set the zidoo as the audio and video endpoint thus defeating the purpose on using the control4 remote! i am writing a RS232 driver for the Z series box. waiting on my z9s to arrive!
I have very limited success with mine, I can get it to load films in to the gui, but it doesn't launch the room when a film is selected, for some reason it also only imports a few movies.
