I want to connect a Hifi Rose RSA780 USB CD drive to the Eversolo DMP A8 USB 3.0 port. What is the maximum current the USB port Can deliver? The Hifi Rose asks 1,5A.
I haven't seen the max current figure quoted anywhere for the A6 or the A8. With your CD drive at 1.5 A, I would recommend you use a powered USB hub to connect it to the top OTG port.
The specs of USB3 ports should allow for 1.5A delivery; it the always depends on how the USB bus was internally designed... I would go for an external powered USB hub too, though.
This isn't within specs. USB2 is standard 0.5 A and USB3 standard is rated 0.8 A. Only the high power USB3.1 can do 1.5 A and USB4 even a lot more.
