I have never been able to get trailers to work and can't find a solution. I'm looking for any ideas/tips/tricks on this please. Z9x
The absolute best way to get trailers working is to use local trailers. Download from somewhere like: https://www.youtube.com/user/TrailersPlaygroundHD https://www.traileraddict.com/ https://www.hd-trailers.net/ https://www.davestrailerpage.co.uk/ Or just a plain old YouTube search. Put in the movie folder named like MovieName.trailer.ext and set local trailers only in preferences. You get to choose the trailer(s) you want in the quality you want and it works every time.
I appreciate your response, but I'm really trying to have something that will do it automatically/stream it. I've seen videos of other players doing this, but mine has never done it.
Even if online trailers were reliable I wouldn't use them. The quality usually sucks and they've always been very haphazard due to the obfuscation techniques used and continually updated by YouTube. It takes me maybe an additional 30s to add a trailer when adding a movie and then you have 100% reliable trailers 100% of the time. And now local trailers use the Zidoo player so it's quite literally a no-brainer.
