Yes I still have the slower speed transfer problem.
But I am happy with the update, since HT4 has a really faster display than before.

That's not a solution, it's a workaround and not very practical for someone with thousands of videos. I would prefer to hear from those closer to the development team to learn that this is an issue that is acknowledged and is or will be corrected in a future release. The player can handle the VC1 encoding fine when playing straight through. There should be a reasonable answer for why it cannot properly resume playing just as reliably.

Is anybody of you maybe using Windows 11? If so, you should pay attention to the changelog of a recently released update: KB5037771
This update addresses an issue that affects Server Message Block (SMB) clients. They fail to make SMB Multichannel connections. Because of this, file transfers are slow. This issue occurs after you install KB5036980 (April 23, 2024). In the Windows Event Log, Event ID 30826 appears for Microsoft-Windows-SMBClient/Connectivity.
    EDIT: Source: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...631-3593-e633ff2f-a021-4abb-bd2e-7f3687f166fe

Regarding the question: No issues here whatsoever regarding the SMB speed.

Interesting. I am using windows 10. I think I will wait for a solution. I have no issues with the previous firmware (1.0.75). Except the HDMI range issue, which I never noticed anyway.

Interesting. I only have one VC-1 encoded video - the full bluray rip of Magnolia. I played it for 10 minutes, stopped and then restarted. It picked up at correct place and played back fine.

Video steam info below taken from mediainfo. I know this may not help but appears it doesn't effect everyone.

    Code:
    Video
    ID : 4113 (0x1011)
    Menu ID : 1 (0x1)
    Format : VC-1
    Format profile : Advanced@L3
    Codec ID : 234
    Duration : 3 h 8 min

Similarly I went through my entire 2K library recently and tried the few VC1 files I have and had no problems with any of them, so it's not simply VC1 that's the problem - these files must have something else awry.

I just put on the updated file yesterday on my Zidoo Z20. No problems that i can see. I went from 1.0.52. I only use mine as a media player. No streaming, no music. I also run this with my plasma 1080 TV. After downloading i just turned switch power button on the back off for a minute, turned back on & everything works.

This issue won't go away by itself, a new fw update will be needed to resolve it.

I had to send back my Z9X PRO due to a hardware error. I'm getting a replacement and will update it to .86. Are there any pros/cons going with the G-build over the non-G?

If you want to use some android splay store apps, like Tidal then use G-build.

Let's say I don't want to install any Google Play apps. Will the G-version be slower or anything?

Install non-G then you're not tempted to trash it with apps ;)

    Hi, what about my question?
"Any plans to add audiotrack's tags in the menu?"

I know, what I can see audiotrack's title in "Info", but most wanted feature is ability to see this titles right in menu while choosing audiotrack

    Like this:

    1. English 5.1 DTS 48 Khz - Original
    2. English 2.0 AC3 48 Khz - Director's commentary

If this is not so hard to make - it's a killer feature )))

I also am experiencing the slower transfer speed using the new firmware.

Sorry - I don't know of any plans to add that.

Yeah I figured. Going to wait for a new firmware. 1.0.75 works fine for me. It would be nice though if they could fix this one issue. Seems like the new fw fixed a lot of other issues.

Do these tracks have these names already in the TAGS? I rename them often with mkvtoolnix but never payed attention if the name showed up

I want to test Tidal Connect with UHD5000, do I have to install Tidal on the Zidoo?

    :(
