    Hello!
    My wiring diagram: z9x->jbl 9.1->lg oled c14lb

Artifacts are displayed while viewing Dolby Vision content.
I found the reason, if you turn on LLDV, then there are artifacts, if you turn on DV-Led, then there are no artifacts.

    What is the problem?

You're going to have to be a lot more specific than just saying "there are artifacts".

These are multi-colored dots that appear randomly. See photos and videos please.

I did not find the settings on my TV, can you be more specific?
Yes, in my Zidoo I have exactly these parameters.

Ok that's really wierd - I've never seen that before!!

It's almost like it's overmodulating the signal for particular colours.

I don't think it could be the soundbar but the first thing to do is to discount that - so disconnect the soundbar, go from Zidoo dorect to TV and see if it's the same.

While you have the Zidoo directly connected to the TV can you download the EDID.

Then when you connect the soundbar back again, download that EDID too.

Again, I don't think there can be anything in the EDID, but it's worth discounting.

    To Download EDID
    ================

    Settings/Display/Custom EDID/Save EDID

Save to a USB stick or network location.

Change the file extension from .bin to .txt to upload to the forum

(The forum won't accept .bin files)

    Thanks for the answer.

Ok, so it's something to do with the Soundbar.

The TV EDID is fine, but there's something really odd with the Soundbar EDID - a lot of values seem to have got mangled.

Connect back to the Soundbar, switch Custom EDID on and load and select this one:

This is your TV EDID with all the sound modes from the soundbar added.

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately your edid did not help :(

Must be something to do with the way the Soundbar passes LLDV but I've never seen that before.

if I use standard DV, will the picture be much worse?

Not at all - there should be no difference between TV Led and Player Led.

If anything, TV Led is more desirable so if you have the choice, most people would go with TV Led.

Just a thought - you do have Auto Frame Rate switch on don't you?

    Settings/Playback/Auto Frame Rate

Frame rate mode - Match frame rate and resolution
    Did I understand you correctly?

Yes - either Match Frame Rate and Resolution or Match Frame Rate Only.

if I turn off Framerate to Resolution Matching, I don't notice these artifacts....

Do you mean "Match Frame Rate Only" or "Off"?

Mark, hey. how could turning off frame rate matching get rid of his artifacts? Would a lower hz edid for a lower bandwidth older hdmi version help?

seems his issue is with the soundbar passing the video signal.

Sorry for the long answer. I tried to find a pattern:(
I hurried with the answer, if you turn off Frame rate mode, then there are even more artifacts.o_O

    My settings now:
    Auto frame rate/
Frame rate mode - Match frame rate and resolution
Frame rate pause - 3 seconds

    Resolution
    Lock resolution(3840x2160) - ON
    3840x2160 30Hz

    Color settings/
    4K 50~60Hz: Priority YUV420 10BIT
    4K 23~30Hz: Priority YUV444 12BIT
    Non-4K: Priority YUV444 8BIT
    HDMI color range: 0-255
    Deep Colour Compatibility Mode: ON
    HDMI Signal format: Enhanced format

    HDR/AUTO
    Dolby Vision compatible mode:
    Priority LLDV (Player Led)
    MaxCLL and MaxFALL: ON
    Custom EDID: ON

    HDMI audio: RAW
    Pass - through AMP...: ON

I checked films and found a pattern. Artifacts are smaller at 30Hz than at 60Hz, 50Hz, 25Hz... But if I see artifacts, then after restarting the movie they disappear.

    =====================================================

If use Dolby Vision compatible mode: Priority standart DV (TV Led)
Is it normal that the player displays RGB 8 bits?

    Ok, two things to try:

    1. Change HDMI Range to 16-235

    0-255 is incorrect.

    2. Switch Passthrough Amp Compatibility Mode <Off>

    This can have adverse affects.

I still can't think why these artifacts are appearing only when connected to the soundbar, but as I say, if you have the choice of TV Led and Player Led you should really choose TV Led.

Yes it's normal for TV Led to be RGB 8-bits. Dolby Vision sends a 12-bit YUV image in an 8-bit RGB signal in a process called HDMI Tunneling.

Mark, thank you for your help!;)
    Same with these settings.
    I will use TV Led
My TV shows different information in HDMI diagnostics when I watch HDR content.
    It's good?
    Look at the photo:
