Hey there, I've noticed that there is no native support for playlists in the awesome HT media player and they don't work in the Kodi port - only playing one item on the playlist then it stops. I am assuming this is because for now, once the external player is called Kodi (etc) doesn't know when it stops playing so can't trigger the next file in the playlist (or something). Apart from messing with Digital Signage mode, is there any other workarounds for using the HT player with a playlist. I'd really like to play movie and Dolby trailers before playing the main movie if possible. I am assuming it's not possible for now but would be awesome if playlist support might be coming down the line...
Thanks again for this @darky_zidoo. I tried it out and it worked a treat. I can now setup playlists with pre-roll trailers before a movie. I then set my Z9X Pro to not change framerate, but have it set to 23hz. That way there is no HDMI handshaking interrupting each clip so it flows nicely. Not a bad way around things until Ziddo add a proper playlist feature (if they do).
