A Zidoo X9S on the way come(updated 8/August)

    Can the HDMI in capture anything or does it have HDCP protection?

    It is the last time I order from Geekbuying, when I ordered the shiping date was August 30, then they change date to Septembre 14 whith a gift (remote). What worst it trick us because they knew they will be close from September 15 to 17. Now people a receiving there device and customer like us who bought in presale are left in dark. AVOID GEEKBUYING best chinese scam shop!

    Scam shop is a little hard. If you dont want to wait. Cancel the order. Ask for money back. Go get it from amazon.

    I know Geekbuying, if you try to cancel they will lie by saying it was already ship... and for now they are close for few days. I bought a lot from them and had some issue but this is the last time....

    Well...i also preordered with shipping date 30 august and mine is just around the corner(recived by my countries post)its in my hands next week.i have used geekbuying 5 years and over 50 orders.never had a problem.maybe they just got a few devices from zidoo.

    i have been waiting a month for my zidoo x9s contacted geekbuying to cancel and i get ignored no responce from them for a week now i know the device was pre-order when i bought it but was told it would be the 16 september when it will be shipped but it still says processing and if you look on their shop it states if you buy one now it will ship within 2-7 days geekbuying is a joke

    When I signed up for the pre-order, the website said stock due in 7 days. When I enquired later I was then told Sept 16.
    Now it's Oct 6th and I've just been told that it will be shipped in one week. 3 weeks ago I was told the same thing.
    I wouldn't mind if they only debited Paypal once it was shipped which is what a lot of reputable Chinese businesses do.
    I have now told them to cancel the order. If they ignore me I will raise a dispute with Paypal about the way they do business.
    This is the first time I have ever had any dealings with Geekbuying.com and it will be the last. It's obviously run by amateurs.

    Have a similar story:
    Bought a X9S from a shop on Aliexpress. They updated the status to "Waiting delivery" after 1 day...and also provided tracking number that looked genuine.
    Everything showed as if everything is in order. Only after 10 days where it showed the item arrived in my country but was not delivered, I started looking into it with the help on the local post.
    It turned out that the item never left China and the seller agreed immediately to refund the order.
    This is more than suspicious.
    Bought instead another one ...hopefully I'll get lucky this time.

    On the day I cancelled the order.... suddenly a shipping email arrived and I have to say the unit arrived yesterday complete with free air mouse.
    I guess Geekbuying was itself a victim of shipping delays from the Zidoo factory, but it needs to be up front with it's customers rather than keeping them hanging on the end of a piece of string.
    I'll have a think about whether I give them another go as the packaging and shipping time once notified was of a good standard.
    So far the X9S looks to live up to the advertising.
