50 hours later

    Hi I must say I have heard a improvement in the sound quality after ca 50-100 hours burn in time
    What a Great Streamer Dac

    Not sure you need burn in for digital products (some say not even analogue) but always nice that you hear an improvement, good for you.

    Well here's the thing. I've never read where anyone has noticed a decrease in quality after "burn in". Make of that as you will!

    I'd expect the same bunch of 1's and 0's to squirt out in the same order regardless of how long it's been on for.

    In terms of a pure transport I may agree with you; but being a DAC there are some discrete components involved in the final analog signal; hence a burn-in _could_ make a difference.

    Golden ears or just a plain placebo...it's really hard to pinpoint. ;)
