2D to 3D help please

    Hi all, possibly a silly question. I'm looking to buy projector with 3d capability. I have the Z9X model, question - the 2d to 3d option, does this mean that the system can up scale for example a 2d 4k mkv file, and it will convert to 3d, and play correctly via a 3d projector. Or does the movie file/disc actually have to be 3d in the first place to work??

    It has to be a 3d movie file to play in 3d.

    It's 3D to 2D, not 2D to 3D.
