I have some challenges that I need some help with.. I have a JVC X5900 and a Zidoo Z1000 Pro, I would like to lock the resolution to 1080 as I have a small image and don't need to upscale to 4K. I have done the following. Settings - Display - Resolution - 1080P 60Hz. Toggle the lock resolution switch on. Settings - Playback - Auto frame rate - Frame rate mode - Match frame rate only switch on But the projector still receives 4K, I turn Match frame rate only off, an then it receives 1080p as I want, but as soon as I turn Match frame rate only on it receives 4K, I need to have match the frame rate on, otherwise it usually doesn't look good. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Best regards Kim
Hmm - there's something odd with JVC EDIDs I've not noticed before - I just loaded a JVC X7000 EDID and I get the same behaviour you describe, however, if I load a standard 600MHz HDR10 EDID, it behaves correctly - ie resolution stays at 1080p. Can you post two EDIDs - one with the Zidoo connected directly to the projector and one with it connected as normal - presumably through an amp etc. To Download EDID ================ Settings/Display/Custom EDID/Save EDID Save to a USB stick or network location. Change the file extension from .bin to .txt to post on forum
I have just saved the EDID, but when I change it .txt it just seems like alien languets How do I post it, so that you can see it?
Thanks All I want is to have the 1080p resolution, but all the rest from UHD/HDR I would like to keep BT2020 color profile, HDR10, matching framerate ect. but just in 1080p
Try this: https://mega.nz/file/dDIlQIJb#-oHjHY9JnzbPgtOt4jkfNLHo5RDer4hwNevWNe07-Nc Load this EDID and that should give you what you want...
