Tidal problem with my DMP A8

    Hello everybody,

    i´m new in the world of EVERSOLO and i bought the DMP A6 Master and the DMP A8 Version in one catch because i have two listing situations.

    Now, my question ist the using of the Tidal App directly on the Eversolo DMP A8 and of course for the . So i don´t want to go ober bluetooh or wifi / WLan. I am directly connecting the DMP A8 with tha LAN cable. When i now press STREAMING and search / press the TTIDAL Logo i get in to the menue of TIDAL. Next step was to get to my account with the email adress and pass word. So did everything goes well. I just use the DMP A8 with the own display and touch.

    BUT when i no go to search for my round 30 playlists in TIDAL on the DMP A8 i just can reach 5-6 playlists. I also can not reach the albums i have stored. I can get the mixes, okay, bit not all my playlists and the albums i stored on my main account on desktop.

    Is anybody here who can help me with this problem?

    Hello Rolf,

    do you use the mobile eversolo app to navigate in tidal? If you do so, you have to swipe the row under the search field on top of the app that begins with HOME to the left until you can see the last entry called MY COLLECTION.
    Then you see your playlists, your "liked" albums, your "liked" tracks and your "liked artists. This will be all the same as you see in TIDAL on PC.

    Hello Stefan,

    thanks a lot for the answer. No i don´t use the monile solo app, i just just the navigation directly at the DMP 8 with the touch field.
    First i press the button "Streaming (red colour) the i press the touch button to the TIDAL App. At the first time the App in the DMP A8
    asked me the for the email adress and the pass word. This process is just necessary for the first time. And then i get into the menue from
    the Eversolo DMP8 TIDAL App. Then the problems start. So i will test it for one time with bluetooth ON over the APP from my mobile
    Phone (Iphone) and check and swip the row under the search field to left and then i hope that it will work further on wenn i quit the
    connection to bluetooth and the Iphone. Hope it will work. But i dont´understand why the EVERSOLO gets 5-6 of my playlists and not
    the rest of them. :cool:

    I have an Eversolo DMP-A8 with software 1.3.80
    Since Tidal has changed MQA to FLAC I always have problems with hires music dropouts.
    Not always but very often and only with hires songs 24bit/96khz and above.
    No problem with CD quality songs 16bit/44.1khz at all.
    I have a wired connection with 100mbit/s.
    In "Audio Settings" I have tried with "Eversolo Original Sampling-Rate Audio Engine" switching on and off already, but same problem.
    Does anybody have same problems or can advise how to solve this.

    Also, I am taking the opportunity to remind you (and everybody, FWIW) that cross-posting is an annoying, bad practice.
    You make ONE post, preferably in the RIGHT forum (yes, this is the right one, while the A6's one is not...) and that's it.

    Yes, I have the same issue with Tidal and Apple Music hi res tracks. Nothing to do with Tidal and AM services, The problem is with Eversolo streamers. I have A8 streamer. Opened similar topic in A8 thread. This MUST be addressed with Eversolo devs. It is not ascceptable at all.

    Have to say I've had my A8 since September 2024 and using a Samsung tablet to operate the A8 I have had no problems with Tidal or Qobuz, no drop outs or missing files. Hires files play in the correct resolution even with MQA.

    I have the current software update 1.4.01. This is recommended.

    But it all worked with previous updates. I did manually install this as I didn't want to wait.

    I do have A8 wired with ethernet cables and WiFi to Samsung tablet all using the same router. I don't use Apple. Tidal now allows Hires music playback at the lower price. I never use the touch field day to day on the A8 only to update software.

    I think this is an isolated issue for your situation contact the support centre but update software first if you havn't.

    First of all, hires tracks has nothing to do with MQA. For your information, MQA is a lossy compression, so it is easy for streamer to play such files. Try to play real hires on your A8 which are 24/96 or 24/192khz tracks.
    Then, I also have latest FW 1.4.01. my A8 connected to router by CAT8 ethernet cable and I have 1 gigabit optic fibre internet.
    And last, this issue is common and not isolated to me. Look at the forum , even this thread have a number of people with the same issue.

    I do play files at 24/96/192 all the time.

    [Since Tidal has changed MQA to FLAC I always have problems with hires music dropouts Johan Meyer]. MQA is still on some Tidal music files and has made no difference as well as the new Flac files.

    Contact support. I've upgraded software 3 times since owning and no issues, not saying you havn't got an issue but its not common.

    Lucky you then. I have already mentioned 2 times that I am running on last software. The issue is common, since I am not the only one who has this issue. Read this topic at least or google for that and stop saying that this is not common.

    I've had ongoing issues streaming Tidal with my DMP-A8 with software version 1.4.01.

    1. Errors when initially opening Tidal app from the DMP-A8. After first turning on the DMP-A8 and opening TIDAL, often the initial screen doesn't populate correctly (everything displays under the top heading and other headings have nothing displayed under them). I routinely now workaround this issue by selecting the home button then re-selecting TIDAL.

    2. The common way I enjoy streaming is by playing whole albums that I have previously favourited. After performing the above work-around I will swipe from the left, then swipe up then select MY COLLECTION. Occasionally (occured more often without implementing workaround at #1) artists and albums will fail to display correctly. When this occurs, I need to select home then select an alternate streaming platform (ie Amazon) then select home then open TIDAL and repeat the process to get to MY COLLECTION. Usually it will populate correctly after this iteration.

    3. The third common issue I then experience is when selecting the button to show all favourited ALBUMS. I then select an album to play and initiate playing the album. If you then press in top right to show what is currently playing and then look at the play list, often it has failed to schedule the whole album and will instead just play the current track and stop. At this point if you go back and select things like Add all tracks to the play list, etc, this won't work. The workaround is to go back, select an alternate album. Wait for it to commence playing, then go back to the album you want to hear and initiate play again. Usually this time when you view the play list, all tracks are scheduled as expected.

    These issues have been reported to Eversolo with supporting video. Hoping for resolution in an upcoming software version (pretty frustrating issues for the cost).

    I have identical problem with A8 using Tidal subscription. Interestingly I have no problem what-so-ever when using wifi network connection, which I had been using since I purchased unit. 2 weeks ago I ran a 1Gb Ethernet line to the unit and it will not play hi-res files. Not at all. But it will play the same music files in non- hi-res, or other non-hi-res files as well. Anything that is hi-res or “remastered” to higher resolution results faulting, stuttering or frozen playback. Zero help from Tidal Support who only referred me to contact Eversolo. All Ethernet cables, sockets connectors , fine. Minimum 430 Mbps. Checked and rechecked problem is in the player. Period.

    I’m also experiencing a problem with A8 using Tidal max bitrate setting where the music stops and starts for 2 second bursts. I backed it down to high setting and it works perfectly. Can/will Eversolo fix this via firmware to anyone’s knowledge?

    I have the same issue with my A8.
    If i reconnect the Tidal account it will work for a time.
    On an other device Tidal works fine with the same Song.
    Hope for an solution.

    So frustrating. Assume you’ve contacted Eversolo. Any response and confirmation they are working on it? You’d think they would have least come out with a beta firmware fix by now given how long this problem has been reported. I’m even experiencing it on hi vs max setting.

    Everyone who is experiencing this disappointing issue with the A8 should go to the EVERSOLO home page and cycle down to, or very near to, the bottom of the page on the left hand side where there is a list including “After Service”. If you click on this link you can supply some information about yourself, your device and usability issues/problems. I have done so, and await a reply from Zidoo/Eversolo. It seems that this problem is fairly widespread and is affecting multiple users so with a little feedback perhaps they will get to making a correction.

    Just posted on After Service. From what I’m reading, but please correct me if I’m wrong, Eversolo has not acknowledged problem or advised on a fix. This is unacceptable. I’m even experiencing this on hi bitrate setting, where it happens on some songs, but happens 100% on max bitrate setting, and with highest bitrate songs. Step up please Eversolo!

    Correct. I have not received any reply to, nor acknowledgement of receipt of, my “After Service” inquiry that I made to them. Good luck and keep us posted as I will.

    I dot not believe that the problem lies with Tidal. I do believe that this is an issue, a serious issue with the Eversolo A8 and possibly the A6 streamers.
