Today I will try the HDMI cable replacement

I'd love to be corrected, but an HDMI cable couldn't do that - it's the fact that it only affects the UI and content plays fine - as I said earlier, a HDMI cable can't affect what a source outputs, only what a display receives.

I no longer know what to think or direct my suspicions in the sequence box>HDMI cable>TV display

Try turning Custom EDID on and loading the EDID you posted yesterday into the Zidoo (once loaded, make sure it is selected)

Then set Resolution to Auto and make sure HDR is set to Auto too and see if that works...

I thank you very much for the help you are providing.
I have executed the instructions, but when I reboot I always find 720p 60Hz.
I may have to replace the box with a newer one.

Ok - all I can think is that's got to be something crazy going on in the firmware then - did you say you'd already tried a Factory Reset?

Yes, I flashed and then restored the latest firmware 6.4.68 without Google-Apps.
I could repeat the procedure again as a last chance.

I'd try a factory reset first... Settings/Other/Recovery and Reset > Restore Factory Settings

I did the reboot procedure with these steps:

1- Flashing procedure via reset button with firmware version 6.3.92.
    In settings>Display>Resolution it already shows 3840x2160p 60Hz
I tried rebooting several times and the value is maintained, so OK.

2- It is reported via OTA update 6.4.35 which I proceed to do, when the update is finished it turns out 6.4.42 evidently it was a cumulative.
Even with this firmware the resolution turns out to be set at
    3840x2160p 60Hz.
I have tried rebooting several times and the value is maintained, so OK.

3- Via OTA it tells me that the firmware is already updated, I don't understand why version 6.4.68 is not reported. so I do it via USB.
Even with this firmware the resolution turns out to be set to
    3840x2160p 60Hz
I have tried rebooting several times and turning off the scatoa, the value is maintained, so OK.

4- I reinstall my personal apps including ZDMC and the Kodi database
when I start I find the 720p resolution again.
At this point I perform a thorough investigation and find out despite myself that I made a serious mistake about three days ago.
The data base had been saved on pc investigation where Kodi is also installed and made some views with the interface reduced to a window, I think about 720p, these values were stored in the file "guisettings.xml"
which I copied with the entire database on the box.
So every time I turned on Zidoo with automatic startup of ZDMC, the resolution of Kodi affected the resolution of Settings>Display of the box.
I transferred the new database with the full screen resolution and the problem is now solved.

I thank you very much for your help that prompted me to better investigate the whole procedure by excluding steps that had nothing to do with it.
The culprit of this was me in spite of myself, let this serve as my experience.

Oh wow - I'd have never thought of that - I'm very impressed with your logic - I wish more people could trouble shoot like that!!

Glad you figured it out :)

At a certain age :) , patience helps to reason calmly by trying to divide the problem into steps by also going by exclusion, and above all by having some time on your hands.
Neither would I have imagined that the settings of an external app iflueize the settings of the box.

    Absolutely right indeed!

And we learned something new too, which is always a good thing.

Bloody marvellous!!! I've been so tense that a pain I've had above my left eye got seriously bad - cut a longish story short, I'm in A&E waiting on results of a blood test, reading this - all's well that has ended well :D

I hope the problem with your eye can be solved as best as possible, and that it is nothing serious.
