Home Theatre 5 Update / TMDB Fix v4.3.52 (Realtek 1296 models)

This is an update to the recently released patch to HT5 for the TMDB scraping issues we've been having.

Changelog:
1. Optimized poster wall matching accuracy
2 Optimized trailer retrieval for poster wall
3. Added dynamic background feature to poster wall
4. Fixed the occasional crash issue

It's just a shame that something like this has to happen for them to release an update. Finally, the trailers work. This philosophy of Chinese companies is that they don't want to keep products that haven't been sold for so long updated and working correctly and that are still valid. To pressure users to buy new ones is a wrong and unfair policy.

It's not China/Chinese philosophy at all. I'm afraid it is "modern" manufacturing where products are based on semi-conductors. It applies to all areas of manufacturing where a limited supply of spare boards/chips etc are kept for example for five years after product eol. And then as the production has moved on 2-3 generations the old product is abandoned. Companies make an economic decision as to the support to be applied and extended
Even 3g for mobile has now been/being switched offm Windows 10 ie eol. Should all generations of MS Windows be maintained. Mobiles phones are a case in point. Apple even manipulated thier operating system to make older products artificclly slow down so that the customer were made to beliived that they need to upgrade their physical device

I'm afraid this is the pace of the "modern"world" whether we like it or not.

Not to get political but the Labour govermnment in the UK have enacted a law thats requires Companies to state their update/maintenace term, so that consumers are made aware when they purchase the item how long they will get updates still does not force spares etc.
If you look at Asus and there terms on their routers. These all indicate a term of three years or thereabouts . So they have told you but actually now it seems worse. But give them their due the AC68 router was maintained for 13 years and only went eol last May

 

I've registered just to say thank you for the update, much appreciated! There are still people who use these (older) devices, hope the full framework update will also come

 

It's been a while since I used these older machines, but I was amazed while testing both the X9S and the Z9S just how quick both these machines still are - not a million miles from the newer ones.

I'm having a problem with this version of HT, My shares stop being accessible if I add sources to HT, I've reset the machine ten times, each time all my win 11 shares work perfectly through the media center, but the moment I add sources, or restore config boom media center "not able to connect to host ". And sources show invalid on HT. My Z9X and Z9X8k work fine with the same shares.

 

I'm having problems again with TMDB posters and tried to reinstall the fix with the apk recommended fix V4.52, that did not work. So I made another mistake thinking resetting to factory could help, that did not work. This is the second time this has happened.

Any solution out there !!!!!!!!!!!!
