How to install an APK file on a Zidoo box

A few people seem confused over this, so here's a quick primer on how to install an apk (Android Package Kit) file.

1. Click on it!!

This is the easiest method - simply put the apk somewhere you can access it via the box (USB stick, internal storage or network location), open that location in Media Center and click on the apk:

2. Use the APK installer app

Copy the apk to a USB stick, plug it in, open your apps, run ApkInstaller and click Install.

3. Use the Web Installer

You can either use the Web Installer in the APK Installer app as shown above or simply go to the following address in a web browser:

http://IP_ADDRESS_OF_ZIDOO:18888

(for example http://192.168.0.100:18888)

after it does the install a note pops up saying update not installed?
