DMP A8 local music library drop outs

Experiencing random drop outs while playing my local music library. Sounds like a loose cable issue but it isn't. Streaming FLAC and some MP3. Following actions taken so far with no result.
Moved library from a local NAS connected via cable to a internal 4TB SSD.
Moved library to a USB stick.
Factory reset
Manual software re-install 1.3.30
Tried several ripping alternatives of FLAC and MP3 files
Running out of ideas
