I have problem with playing AAC sound on my Zidoo UHD 3000. While other types are with good volume, AAC is always very quiet , I need to boost volume at least twice to hear something and still is not good. Doesn't matter if it is on speakers connected to Denon receiver or direct on TV speakers. My Zidoo runs latest firmware 6.4.68G How to fix this ?
Set Volume Passthrough Mode to ON in Audio Settings. You probably have the volume turned down on the Zidoo which will affect AAC because it's decoded to PCM but won't affect bitstreams like Dolby or DTS.
Is this Pass-through AMP compatibility mode which is described as when audio output is in RAW, then this option can give some AV receivers with slow processing speed better compatibility ? Is my AV receiver from year 2022 bad receiver if it needs this option to be ON UPDATE: Tried with this option ON, but there is no change.
I will have to test some more, but this worked with volume on the remote. Not sure how it came on 7, maybe after I upgraded firmware couple of months before. Thanks
NO, this setting has nothing to do with your problem.. that setting for most situations should be left off. Mark was referring the Volume Passthrough menu setting that should be set to ON.. that way and sound mode that use PCM or are converted to PCM are not affected by you bumping the volume button on your remote...
