I have a Zidoo Z9X that connects to my Samba NAS flawlessly

I've just bought a new Zidoo X9Z Pro and it keeps getting an "unknown failure" when I try to connect to my Samba NAS

Could someone tell me how to avoid that failure?
    Thank you!

Make sure you're in the same network of your NAS, either Ethernet or WiFi. Delete previous connection and try once again with network credentials.

Another way is to transfer all data from your Z9X to Z9XPro by backup and NFO files. It will restore all library and settings from your old box.

    Thank you for your reply.

The Zidoo Z9xPro is on the same network as my NAS.
When I try to connect the Zidoo Z9XPro to my NAS/folder with my movies, I can see the NAS and the folder with the movies, but when I chose that folder I get the "Unknown error" .

Is there anyone that knows how to fix that problem?

    Thanks

What version of smb is on your NAS? If it is SMB1, this problem with unknown error is possible.

As @Sawas says, workaround with SMB service and make sure it's enable. This is a common issue when connected without SMB1 service enable.

What was the old NAS model? Just to avoid buying it from the 2nd hand...

A radical solution but the best now-a-days with many service/hardware upgrades. ;)

I had a Synology DS 209 that had worked flawlessly with my old Zidoo Z9x
Now I have two systems with two servers

With or without RAID system, two servers will secure the DB!!

You need to enable Netbios/SMB1 support in your NAS
