    Hi there,

I'm facing alot of frame rate issues using both "Zidoo media player" & Kodi.
I saw you are improving the Zidoomedia player for the "ZIDOO X9S".

Would you improove the Zidoo media player for the "X6 Pro" model as well?

    Thanks in advance!

frame rate issues ? what tipe of movies are you playing ? I use my x6 every night. and video playback works good.
on what firmware version are you ?

    Hi HaoSs,

Thank you so much for your quick response! :)

First let me describe my set up:
    TV - PHILIPS 50PFK6510
Amplifier - Pioneer HTP072 (Audio passthrough enabled)
Zidoo X6 Pro - Firmware version 1.0.40 (tried on 1.0.39 and faced the same issues)

The videos I'm watching are varied but most commonly:
    1. MP4 at 24/25 FPS
    2.MKV at 23.976 FPS
    3. AVI (XVID codec) at 30 FPS

I've tryied all possible of setup:
    1. Resolutions: 1080P@60/1080P@50/1080P@25/1080P@24
    2. Auto frame rate (forgot the actuall option name) - both On & off

By saying "frame rate issues" I mean that the videos either out of sync or I'm facing inconsistent playback speed.
Even on the TV I've tryied all possibilities - Lowering "motion enhancer", completely turning off the "motion enhancer" and even switching to "Game" or "computer" modes.

    Nothing helped solving this issue.
By the way, I'm facing the same issues on ZDMC.

    Did I missed something?
In "ZIDOO X9S" specification it's been writen that the "real 23.976 FPS and auto 24 FPS switch" will be officially supported.
Will you support the same for the "ZIdoo X6 Pro"?

    Thanks again!

x9s and x6 are on different SOC's (making them 2 totally different devices), x6 should not have problems with the 23.9 FPS tho.
what happens if you don't use the amp, let the box decode the video and audio directly to the TV? (no passtrough )
have you tried other players ? like MX media player ( its on app store )

i have played 1080p 45gb bluray rips with no problems on my x6. may be a faulty box if you're having so much problems. more testing is needed.

can you also install antutu and do a benchmark ? post the score here.

Tried with no passthrough and got the same results.

Can you please guide me which logs you would like to get?
Can I install antutu through play store?

Tried the MX player and got the same result (BTW MX player does not officially support DTS so it's not an option anyway).
I've ran the "antutu test" the results are as the following (the screenshot of the test is attached):
    Total: 29150
    3D: 5695
    UX: 10611
    CPU: 8907
    RAM: 3937

Does the box runs smooth on high Hz TVs?
I wish that turning off all the visual enhancements would have solve the problem but it's not...

Any more tests I can do?
Is there a video playback specific test I can run?

i'm out of ideas. other then give me a link to what are you testing with. and test it on my box. but when 3 players have the same laggy result. it may be a faulty box.

    OK!
    One last question....

Do you know of any settings I should change on the TV or the amplifier?
I know that for gaming console I should enable "game mode" to retain a perfect 60 FPS.
Are there any special settings for the problematic FPS I've mentioned?

no. should work with standard settings. hmm. one last thing. go in zdmc, change settings level to expert. go in video and RKMC. try with RK codec OFF

    Hi HaoSs,

I've tried to set the RK codec off, unfortunately it make it worse.
Now there are ugly "jumps" instead of "sudden speed up" (to cach up with the frame rate).
I've also tried all combination of video acceleration but seems like turning all of them on gets the "least bad" results.

In the "RKMC" menu I've notice that there are "force 24hz" for 3D movies.
Why there is no "force 24hz" for 2D movies as well?
It seems to me like a missing feature that should be easily implemented on both ZDMC & "ZIDOO media player".

I have a relatively device old, XtreamerDVD, which has this feature and using this mode movies at 23.976 runs perfectly.

Are there any plans for improvement in this section on the next firmware update and/or the "ZIDOO media player"?
