i use a 14 TB External HDD connected usb 3.0. Whenever i boot up my z9x it shows no sources, then about 30 seconds later its shows my files have been scanned. Is there a way to set this up so it remembers my files and i do not have to wait for a scan every time?
It is a simple directory/filename scan and not in depth scan of file details. It is useful and lightweight, if you delete a movie it is picked up. so is adding a new movie. It cannot be turned off, and there is no reason to anyway Also the reason you are waiting 30 seconds is not because of the scan, its because those large external hard drives take some time to power up from sleep. Same on the PC, they take some time to show in windows explorer
