First, I'm really frustrated. I paid over two hundred dollars for this device and after about two months, it just froze on me. I've searched for a solution and there are several posts about using the reset button but mysteriously no clear information as to where this button is to be found--certainly no official information from Zidoo that I could find.

I found a post from someone asserting that the reset button was hidden between the two USB ports on the side of the device and that I just had to turn it off, insert a pin until I felt/heard it "click," and hold it, turn it back on, and wait for 15 seconds.

I've tried this several times. There is no "click" when I insert a pin into the hole, no sense that I'm hitting the button, and the player remains stuck on the "Hello" message.

Am I doing it wrong? Is that hole really concealing a hidden reset button?

What else can I do? I read posts from other people with this exact same issue talking about re-flashing their players ... Wouldn't that void my warranty?

EDIT: SOLVED! found a post from someone stating that pushing the "resolution" button on the remote several times could fix this issue. It is the button under the red button on the remote. Did this a couple of times and ... the Zidoo booted back up as per normal. Happy again!

Reading manual helps... Also it helps to first start TV... and Z9X Pro as the last one. Also it helps to understand how HDMI handshake works and if to lock EDID and/or the picture resolution or not.

Thanks. Guess I did jump the gun a little bit with the frustration. Appreciate the response.
