Hi, Sorry for my English, "I'm just a baguette" :-D Just got a Z9X (fw 6.0.90) Nice box, really. 1st comment, it's a mess that Zidoo does not perform DTS/Dolby/ HD audio decoding in LPCM. We have 2 options only: Audio: RAW (=bitstream) so the display or AV processor will have to decode audio stream like DTS, ... (But LG 2020 models have no DTS codecs inside...) Audio: LPMC 2 chanels: decode audio stream like DTS, ... but downmix it to stereo So missing a real LPMC 5.1 or 7.1 option !! I Have some questions for Zidoo experts here. First, I only have 1080p video files on my synology NAS and a LG 77" CX6 TV (10bits, 4k, HDR, HDR 10 PRO, Dolby Vision IQ capable). My TV has been calibrated (SDR, HDR, DV) with Calman Home for LG + i1 probe What is the best from your point of view: Do the 4K upscale on the zidoo or let the TV do the job (internal processing) ? For Non-4K , should we let the following setup YUV444 8 BITS - Or YUV444 10 BITS is better ? I don't know how the Zidoo works but maybe there is an efficient video dithering processing (8 bits to 10bits conversion) like JRiver/Madvr does ? I would say let the C6 do the upscaling for 1080p. But if you acquire HDR10 4K files I would let the Zidoo use VS10 engine on them (upto 30hz of course).
