    Hi

    FIRST A RANT

    I'm a new Zidoo Z9s user - working through the "ins" and "outs" of my new player. An observation; Zidoo products are "marketed" as consumer and not specialist products…..this means a purchaser doesn't have to have a Master's Degree in Computer Studies to get them to do the things they are supposed to do. As with all consumer products, they should come with good quality instructions and hopefully tutorials so that purchaser can get the most out of their investment with the minimum of fuss. My experience to date, my Z9S instructions do help you to connect the player to your network etc. And indeed the on-screen "settings" menu helps you with the basics. Other than that, the documentation is at best poor at worst non-existent. I'm spending hours searching, trying to find information about the player I've purchased - which should have been provided up-front! An example;

    Apps. The music player app has found all of my music and catalogued it nicely; great and exactly what I would expect. However, the ImagePlayer App (can't find any information/instructions about this at all!), says "No images"…..and that’s it! No documentation, nothing. Could you imagine buying say a Panasonic DVD player and having an experience like this…it's disgraceful.

    Thank heavens for forums like this (and I'm being sincere), where kind, interested people are prepared to give up their valuable time to help people like me who have no clue what to do or where to go.

    So finally, MY QUESTION.

    Is the ImagePlayer app used for displaying photos/slideshows. If so, how do I get it to see the photos on my Diskstation NAS. If Imageplayer is not any good for showing photos, than would you kindly recommend an App that is.

    Thanks and sorry for going on!
