My Z100Pro says its firmware is version 6.4.06 and when clicking 'Online update' it says the firmware is up to date. The Z1000Pro firmware page shows v6.4.42 as the latest version. Which version should I be using, am I good to update to from v6.4.06 to v6.4.42 via USB update?
If you tick the "Receive the beta version" you will get the previous release v6.4.42. The latest release is v6.4.62 which requires loading onto a USB flash drive and installing (do not unzip the file): http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?thr...-z9x-z10-pro-z1000-pro-uhd3000-release.95542/
Any "beta" that is available via OTA is considered to be well developed. You can always check out the specific threads on this site for information and discussions on each release. There was a lot of push from some members that were impatient for firmware updates, then when they finally got the latest one, a some of these then complained..... There is no real reason not to update to at least v6.4.42 Zidoo have been making further improvements based on feedback of the latest release, and some of these are included in the release for the Neo models. We can therefore expect another update for the rest of us in the near future
Just a security matter, it’s best not to publish the MAC address of your device as in your screen shot.
