Why only zdmc can play my local file in 5.1?

All my player like vlc. Archos. Mx play only 2.0.

 

They where designed for android phones/tablets, that have 2 speakers at best, some only have one... How do you expect 5.1 on a phone ?
KODI/ZDMC was designed to work with TV/AVR

the app's can't. KODI just implemented proper 5.1 passtrough 1 month ago... in the version 17... and they are one of the best when it comes to media players for android

 

So why in steamer zidoo have kind of decoder and audio configuration if android only support 2.0.
For kodi only? My ziddoo connect to reciver amp

2) " steamer " ? you probably mean streaming... What app you have that streams 5.1 ?

 

1.yes. In ziddo I set HDMI to auto.
2.steamer I mean to zidoo android box.
3. I have mkv with dts In local drive and no one player can play 5.1 .
If I play the same mkv from "zdmc" from file manager it's can. Play 5.1

 

HDMI needs to be set to RAW in android settings, passtrough neets to be enabled in ZDMC.
zidoo media center also should put 5.1 passtrough with audio to RAW
