The same problem for Realtek 1195 machine. But Himedia chipset Hi3798C supports all of the format. I am very disappointed at the Realtek chipset.
well, usualy its all about 1 thing. Money. They probably thinked divx is to old to bother with. Also. i did manage to play divx files with MX video player. Probably it was software decoded, but i did not have problems with playback
Maybe not the solution you want, but I've solved this issue on a bunch of (old) video files encoded via DIVX encoder (not playable by Media Center but indeed playable by ZDMC), changing FourCC header of those files from DIVX to XVID.
