So I have tried to install the Pluto TV app (the Android TV version) on my Zidoo player but there is a problem, the app installs using APK install but I can't access it from the "apps" section on the Zidoo frontpage. However, if i go into settings > advanced settings i can see the app is installed on the player but I can't open it because it is missing on the frontpage apps section. I tried a few different of the APK versions but with same result. Other Android TV apps like SmartTube installs and works just fine so not sure why this one doesn't work? Anyone been able to install the Pluto TV app or know why it isn't working? I downloaded the APK from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/pluto-inc/pluto-tv-android-tv/
I don't use Pluto, so can't comment specifically. Be aware that Zidoo use Android OS, the same as used by phones and tablets etc. The poorly named AndroidTV is a separate OS designed for TV's (and used by a couple of other media players). App's are generally not compatible with each other. You need to ensure any app you install (especially when downloading and sideloading something not via the Play Store) is compatible with Android 9, not Android TV.
