Hi guys, I'm using Tidal as my favorite music service. But when I stream Tidal on DMP-A6, every song has different volume, some are very loud and some are quiet. I don't have such a problem when playing Tidal on my phone. So there must be something wrong with DMP-A6. Did I overlooked something in the settings?
Have you tried adjusting the replay gain setting on the A6, I think it was introduced to help with this issue, don't use it myself.
It works only for locally stored files, not for streaming. Tidal app on Android phone has a setting for the same volume for all tracks. But Zidoo's application is missing it.
ReplayGain works with Tidal but only if you use the resident Tidal app. I've found that it doesn't work with Tidal connect. It also doesn't work with MQA tracks. I'm looking forward to Tidal deleting all MQA, which is their intention.
Replay gain value is there for a short time and then disappears. And yeah, MQA songs are still there. Could it be the culprit? I'm considering to remove all MQA songs from my playlist and move them to a separate MQA playlist. But it's not a very good solution.
The ReplayGain value flashes up for a short time, but it's definitely working. Turn it off and you'll notice the difference. To me it's one of the best reasons to use Tidal.
