I use a Samsung OLED G8 monitor, which has a physical resolution of 3440 * 1440 (21:9) and supports Samsung’s own HDR10+ standard. I bought a Zidoo Z9X Pro player because I wanted to get the full HDR10+ experience. Considering that most movies have a 21:9 aspect ratio, I thought that Zidoo, which specializes in making players, would support this resolution. But after booting up, I found that the Zidoo Z9X Pro only offers 16:9 resolution options, which results in distorted main menu and video images. Therefore, I suggest that Zidoo provide more resolution options. If you are worried about the cost of developing a main menu that adapts to 21:9 screens, you can also let the main menu continue to display in 16:9 in the middle of the screen, and leave black bars on both sides. As long as the 21:9 video image can be displayed normally, that’s fine.
