Hey Guys Does anyone know if you can set up the Zidoo so that it can stream externally, I have a friend with a QNAP server that I could connect to.
Do you want to stream to your friend or from him. In case you want to stream from him and his server is accessable over internet I would try VLC.
Thanks for the reply - yes I want too stream from him - so all I do is install VLV on the Zidoo, then configure the network settings in VLC
Installed VLC - set up and all working - couple of things if You have a folder with the symbol # in front of it, then any media file in that folder won’t play and shows a question mark on that file, remove the file out of that folder or remove the # in front of the folder then the media files play. Also is there any way of having it in list format when using the TV theme UI rather than the square blank tiles
I'm sorry. I don't use VLC myself. It was just the first app I knew it's able to handle remote streams.
