Is there a way to shuffle all songs in your storage library?? I see no way to do it. Thanks for any help.
You could only do it from the app itself, not from the unit. I was checking myself also. Bring up the app on your phone or tablet. Go into music, you'll see artist, album, track, library. Going into library and on the right side you will see three dots. Click on it and you will see, " play all tracks " . It will play from all your folder you have. Hope this help out.
Ha, I have been futzing around trying to figure out the shuffle function since I got my unit, or at least to get the order to re-shuffle. Selecting track and any song was inconsistent and in my experience short of a true shuffle. Going to Library seems to fix that issue. Thanks!
On iPhone / iPad, the ‘Play Queue’ / ‘Current queue’ doesn’t update when clicking through the different play modes. So, after switching between ‘List play’, ‘List cycle’, ‘Single cycle’ and ‘Shuffle play’ you have to manually update the ‘Current queue’ by pulling down on the list and letting go. This will then update your view depending on the list mode you have chosen.
Keep in mind that even if you request shuffle play for the entire library, only the first 2000 tracks will be put in the play queue. Tracks that exceed this limit will not be put in the play queue and will not be played, even if you have a library of tens of thousands of songs. I think the maximum number of tracks in the play queue should be at least 9999.
Yes, in the beginning there were no limitations to number of tracks in the play queue. I could earlier add all 12000+ tracks to the play queue (even if it did take about 5 seconds before it started playing). I guess, it has to do with CPU power. All the different additions over time also need the CPU. So, in order for it not to ‘crash’ they added that limitation.
At a minimum, when shuffle play is requested, the entire target track should be randomly reordered, and then the maximum number of tracks should be queued for playback. This change avoids always having a large number of unplayable tracks, even if the number of tracks in the play queue is limited.
