Reimage to Ubuntu

    Hi,

    I am planning to use Zidoo X6 Pro for other purposes than a media centre.


    How can I install Ubuntu or buikd one for X6 Pro?

    Is it an ARM processor? Why not possible, could please you explain?

    Because there is no Ubuntu build for this device. If you are unable to build it for yourself, we can say it's not possible for you

    Any road map to support Linux in the future?
    Reason is that the Android setup is not streaming videos (from local or network storage) properly and I want to reuse the device for other purpose.
    I spent over 200 Eur on the X6 Pro ans want to get at least some processing out of it.
    I am very disappointed about the issue.

    yah. a dual boot with linux from SDcard is the dream.

    Ask on Freaktab forum, maybe someone could give you more information.
    At least a OpenELEC ROM for X6 should be enough for you.
    But I don't know if someone on Freaktab own a X6 AND like to make a ROM for it.
    Until now, nada!!!!

    Lack of sources, no custom rom possible. Persistent problem with all chinese hardware
