For a start, this is my setup -x9s connected with HDMI to Pioneer VSX-S300 -mede8er 600x3D connected with HDMI to Pioneer VSX-S300 -Samsung BD-F6500 connected with HDMI to Pioneer VSX-S300 -Satellite box connected with HDMI to Pioneer VSX-S300 From my AVR, I connect with HDMI in TV with ARC on. In x9s, deep color is Auto and color space to 4:2:2 as recommended for my plasma TV (Panasonic VT30). The problem is that if switch (with this sequence) TV on, AVR on, and select as source HDMI 2 on TV (this is the ARC one) and then switch on the x9s, I get a red layer on top of everything else and as you can see wrong resolution too. The only way to get it back is to switch to another source in AVR, and then back to the source that x9s is connected as seen in this video. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8SLZyU3x_wJZlRmSE93WDZUZG8 As you can see the x9s fails to lock on x.v.Colour and only does when I change the source and get back to x9s. You can see how the mede8er 600x3D behaves in the following video https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8SLZyU3x_wJRGNsSGg0VGR4QmM So far, I changed the hdmi cables to ensure no issues, changed the HDMI sources used in my AVR (put x9s to where 600x3D was and 600x3D to where x9s was) but the issue remains. I can also assure you that with mede8er, in early f/w releases, I had a similar issue with green layer instead of red during the display of the spinning mede8er logo on the above video (up to 18") but mede8er found the issue and fixed it. At the moment it is annoying because the only way to not have this issue is to turn on the x9s first and then change the source in my AVR remote, maybe 4-5 second later as seen in the following video: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8SLZyU3x_wJQWtIamxvVUM0Wlk Can you please recommend something/help/change the way the screen locks on bootup? I know for sure that someone mentioned similar issue in the official Kodi forum in the x9s topic and although it may not be generic issue, I am sure it affects certain AVRs. This problem is bothering me a lot. And I know that others experienced the same (as I said, I read it in the kodi forum, don't remember exact post). I have performed factory reset, nothing. Issue exists in all f/w including 1.4.4. As a side note, I tried to set the resolution manually to 1080 @ 24Hz. With this resolution, the machine boots with Red, but 2" before entering the start screen where I can select apps and stuff, the red disappears. I would be interested to know from someone at Zidoo what they think about this. @freeroc, @mirror, someone? The issue may be trivial but I think that the fact the issue was present in other players like Mede8er 600x3D and was fixed, and giving some feedback that I gave (or any more I can give) about behavior with other resolutions, I am sure it can solved. Really looking forward for an answer in this.
