My DMP-A8 often won't start up when I flick on the rear power switch. Pressing the front knob does nothing. Toggling the rear switch eventually allows it to start up. Removing all input and output cables also helps it start up. Is there something I can do to fix this? Or is my unit defective?
It is possible that it is defective, but I would check if the problem is caused by one of the cables. Take them all out, then put them back one by one, try to turn on the device and see if a certain cable is causing problems.
