I am not sure what is going on... I have an X9S hooked up directly to my LGOLED65E6P with deep color turned on. The X9S is using FW 1.4.6. The tv color and picture is now better than ever! But black screen flashing is unbearable. The screen goes black at least 20-30 times a minute. I have these settings on the x9s HDMI Mode 2160p/24Hz Deep Color Mode 10 bit Color Space Mode YCbCr 444 And the individual Playback modes... Auto 23.976/24 (on or off) On Auto 29.97/59.94HZ (on or off) Off Enable 4k 23.976Hz (on or off) On I also made sure to turn on HDMI 2.0 mode in the advanced options of the quick settings... The only time the screen does not flash (with the best picture quality) is when I have the HDMI mode set to auto... But then everything is converted to 1080p. Any ideas... I am disgusted... John
Just purchased purchased (few days ago) new 6' HDMI cables from Blue Jeans Cable... BJC Series-FE Belden Bonded-Pair HDMI Cable: New Ethernet version of our 28 AWG High-Flex Bonded Pair design; our favorite for runs up to 25 feet. All lengths up to 15 feet are now Premium HDMI Cable certified. I still have a few that haven't been used... I will try one of those... I hope it is as simple as a cable.
Gbps example for 4K HDMI speed Use HDMI 2.0 18Gbps cable, some are certified but cheap one can work (I use cheap chinese that work)
There's good news and bad news... Its not my cables.... It's my HDMI input 4!!!! HDMI 1 works perfectly! Good lord
Some TV have different HDMI build, mine HDMI 5 is 2160p at 300mhz but it can play 1080p 120Hz. Glad you find a solution. Anyway it give me time to put some info in the post.
Thanks for your help... Now that all is working as it should video wise... Dolby Atmos is not... Resolution switching does not work in FW 1.4.6 either. Any reason not to upgrade to FW 1.5?
I had a problem with 1.5 in setting 5 channel PCM audio disapear and I need it so I use 1.4.20. Frame switch seem also problem in 1.5 but some user do not have problem, so you can try 1.5 and go back if you want. Note to go back you will need to flash (not like ota) the device with special instruction. Second post How to flash...
I don't know your configuration but you need HDMI audio to raw, optical is limited to 5.1. That mean only on HDMI, Atmos is only a layer on dolby dd+.
By the way my tv can when set to passthrue push dolby dd+ on optical but I am not able to have it from Zidoo.
The X9S is what is telling me that Atmos is Unknown Audio Format... I think it worked when I was at FW1.5
Hello there, I'm new on the forum and only got my X9S a couple of days ago. I'm on the latest firmware. The problem I have is with 4K and 24p with HDR and Deep Color Mode. It's visually playing at more than 24p which breaks the movie feeling for me. I'm using an LG 55C6V. Do you have any suggestions? Also, I can't seem to find this option in X9S : >> Enable 4k 23.976Hz (on or off) On Maybe because of the newer firmware ? Thanks in advance. dKd.
