Hi, I've noticed a second delay between songs and a clipping sound when using the DMP-A6 with a Chord Peach DAC via Optical Out. Is this a known issue? Thanks.
There is a pause, a small clipping sound and then the song starts. Source is the DMP-A6 streamer connected to Chord Peach DAC via Optical.
You've no luck... if it is the internal player and an external DAC stutters, either the A6 is not able to feed data consistently, or the external DAC is unable to cope with it. Only thing: check the buffers of the A6 (trhe pure DAC of course has got none) If you are streaming from somewhere, though, and the routing to the external DAC, things might be different, and different solutions might work... you say.
Same issue with my Pass Labs D1 dac, loses the link and the pop arrives. I've always had the turntable and so I'm used to not skipping from track to track and listening to the end and muting every time, but I'm not very happy. That said, this streamer handles timing with my DAC better than others (the only reason it's still with me)
