Optical input dropout on Z8 Dac

    I get dropout on the optical input on my Z8 dac when it has been on for approx. 15-20 min, turning it off and on helps, then there is sound again, I'm on firmware v1.0.0.52, is anyone else experiencing this?

    Nope here... watched an entire movie (1.5h at least) and no glitches / dropouts whatsoever.
    Audio was taken from my Sony Bravia TV, while the movie was being played on a HDMI input of the TV, by a Raspberry Pi 3 running KODI, if that helps.

    I think I've found the problem, it's probably my headphone amplifier, which is connected via RCA connector, but the problem only comes when I connect power, why I don't know...!!?

    My Jungson Hedo amplifier is connected via XLR connector, and then the headphone amplifier is connected via RCA, so I can switch between the two via remote/app :)

    Mmm, although it's good you can attribute the cause to something external to the Z8, it still sounds weird that you hear dropouts depending on the analog output selected...
