Noise X8

Hi all,

I notice a annoying sound which is constantly present whenever the X8 is powered on. Also in idle mode.
Is this normal? It is distracting me when I am watching content. Thanks for your input.

 

it's not normal, strange also, because x8 has no moving parts, and the power brick is external.... does it sound like coil whine ?

 

Hi HaoSs, I think it sounds like that. The sound doesn't change at all. A bit the sound of a bad light dimmer. Is there something I could do about this? Thank you.

 

1)try another direct wall socket,
2)sent to warranty

Hi HaoSs, with your advise I listend carefully and found out it is the psu which was causing the issue. Luckely I had another device with the same output voltage and power. All fine now. Thank you!
