Hi Zidoo !! I was a little frustrated & saddened by this feature rich unit in not having or being able to set a backup OR incremental backup from my newly purchased Eversolo DMP-A6 to my network NAS as I have been able to do with my previous ripper/streamer storage unit. I’m sure that it’s not beyond the wit of man to be able to get this feature added on a future software update. I hope that, in the future Zidoo will include this feature as data security is so important and if through some unlucky event a hard drive or an SSD in this instance fails then you have lost all your music, then have to laboursly begin Re-ripping everything again or as I am doing at present using the samba file to copy from it to my NAS folder every time I rip a new cd !! Please can Zidoo rectify this omission?? Best Regards Sy
Hi, do you know that you can very easily transfer files between A6 and PC on the same network? Of course an incremental backup would be better but you can at least keep your music on more places this way.
Yes, that’s what I said originally in my post above. I have both a PC & and a Mac on my network to do manual copying from my A6 to my NAS. I’ve found that the PC is quicker to transfer than my Mac. It originally took over 6 hours to do the first full back up of my 2tb of music to the NAS. Manually transferring music from one place to another is a little outdated now & not ideal but until Zidoo incorporate a back up function in their software then we must continue to manually transferring everything or risk losing our music files.
