Hi, Im having issues with no dolby digital sound over SPDIF and DTS has no issues over SPDIF. I've put pass through on and off in KODI but tht didnt't helped. I have an old receiver with no HDMI connection, so i cant check the sound over HDMI All other formats are no problem. Does anybody have a solution for this
Only 5.1 pass-through sound work over SPDIF anything higher and you need HDMI. There is a new Kodi in the works but maybe only in 2-3 weeks will it be finished that should have other kinds of pass-through code.
For Android not at the moment. Also lots of Kodi members are against Android support and don't want Kodi to grow, maybe because they are scared of piracy. But Rockchip's engineers and Zidoo will try to make a new Kodi based on SPMC that has current development and more improvements for Android than official Kodi. So there are exciting times ahead. They also have plans for Kodi and Koying to get official Kodi/SPMC support. Developer of Movian app also said he didn't have a Rockchip device to test on and I gave him information on where he can get a device to test. So that app will also get better support for Rockchip devices in the future. If you want to play local files or from external storage, you just need to put a path in the address field and make it a bookmark then you can access your files from the app for people that don't know.
cobra78, thanks so much, very good news! We (or at least me) needs only some patience. I'm lucky, I don't need yet the full power of X6, but others (a lot) have all rights to be raring
Hi: we can porting the RK decode and passthrough on spmc, and we will release a test version in the futrue.
we will contact the Movian team, and we can provide two X6 device for them. we will always support the open source organization.
