Hi, Just received the Zidoo X9S. On my previous device (old Xtreamer) I was able to play movies in varius speeds (X0.5-X0.8 for slow motion, X1.2/X1.5/X2) and still hear sound (which was according to speed of course). This saved lot of time in playing. Also, I was able to fast forward without sound in X4/X8/X16/X32 speed (great for skipping commercials on recorded TV programs). I could able to fast forward in X9S, but only in constant speed which I can't control on. Is there an option like this on X9S?
AFAIK, no. You may ask Zidoo to implement it, but I'm not confident you'll be satisfied about. Anyway I'll able to do commercial skipping with "right arrow" button (the one around the OK button). Keep in mind that first press give you only video information, next (close in time) press start skipping. If you try you understand better. Not exactly what you desire, but better then nothing!
Before firmware 1.5.0 you could use the PgUp and PgDn buttons on the remote to FF or FR. At 2x sound was still there. Since 1.5.0 that function has been lost.
But if you are fortunated (like me) having bought the Zidoo IR remote you see in this post photo (the left one) http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/4-programmable-buttons-and-different-rc.5757/#post-28266 it have FWD and REW dedicated buttons that works fine. I don't know if is still available (don't think through shops), anyway ask BOB (from Zidoo) via PM.
