Hi! My X6 doesn't recognize MP4 files as video in Kodi(15.2 or 16). It plays only audio. If I play it with ES video player, it works fine. Any solution, how to get Kodi to play MP4 file? Thanks
we test a lot of MP4 files, it is no problem. maybe it some special format files. pls send a sample file to me.
I tested also with firmware 1.0.30 and with Antutu Video tester and have found 2 mp4 formats which are not fully supported. It are the mp4 files with avc and mpeg-4 video coding. Please check them and improve. Thanks!
Good idea! If Antutu test also video format play capability, Zidoo developers will have a milestone reference for compatibility! At least for some format, of course. Someone knows if there are some more reliable video test file sources like the ones listed by Kodi http://kodi.tv/media-samples/ or this others http://cybernetnews.com/xbmc-high-bitrate-sample-videos/, so both us and Zidoo Developers could do test with exactly the same videos?

But my problem still isn't solved. I have a portable disk attached to router, and I use it as network attached storage. This is where all my films are located. Kodi finds it under UPnP devices and all is good. I can play in Kodi all movies from there, except MP4 files...?! Why is that? If I try to search my disk like SMB, it finds only my PC. It doesn't find the disk attached to router. Can I try something else? Thanks
You can install two apps to check if in any (other) way X6 is able to play MP4 from your router Install Slick UPnP https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cajor.dk.dlna , an open source DLNA client, and MX Player https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad , one of the best Android Multimedia Player. On my X6 is an excellent alternative. Browse your network with Slick UPnP and find your router, browse it until you find yours MP4 files, select one and choose MX Player as player (I suggest to choose "only this time"). If it plays MP4, try again with Slick UPnP and another player available on your X6. Report results here. If neither one player plays MP4 on X6, can you confirm that another device (over your local network) is able to?
Hi! Thanks to all for your help! I have solved my problem by manually adding address of my router under (since it didn't find it automatically) "Add network location"-protocol Windows network SMB. Now I am able to play also MP4 files with Kodi.. (It still doesn't play them over UPnP..) Thanks again.
Have you activated Allow hardware acceleration, in the Decoding settings and both players? Second, as helta said i do not see your attempt to play either, only issue with your scraper. But that has nothing to do with not being able to play, as long as you can see the files Check these links see if any "fixes" are usable.
