I don’t know if it’s all players but can definitely confirm on my UHD3000. Only major flaw of this new firmware unfortunately.

 

The problem is not the new firmware but HT5

 

Interesting. Specifically the update that came with new firmware or does it affect all versions of 5.0?

 

This affects all new firmwares that have HT5 inside

 

This and the subtitle position resetting issues seem to be the only flaws that affect me... Would love to see them fixed...but not holding my breath.

 

I reverted to the previous firmware and installed the HT5 apk and have zero problems

 

I may go that route if the subtitle issue poses a larger issue than I can handle. Can you confirm A) that downloadable subs are properly labeled and B) that they maintain their position after pause/play?

 

Did you need to do anything special to revert? I’ve never had to go backwards with firmware, is it just a matter of downloading and installing the previous version?

The only option to go back to the previous firmware is to use the recovery flash method and then update to the version you want.

The instructions must be followed to the letter, otherwise you risk irreparably damaging the media player

 

does the recovery factory reset the z9x ?? or will settings and apps remain ?? thanks
