?

Do you frequently lose the audio signal to your L/R mains and sub(s)?

I found that not to be the case. I could not watch anything while the posters database was updating. Freezing, no sound, stutter, the whole 9 yards. This morning with all the updating done it's played perfectly, except for my L/R mains and subs continuing to lose signal, which has to be the MR1, I don't think I can attribute that to the Zidoo.

Well, setting everything to recommendations certainly improved the picture. I'm going to try something else for the L/R signal loss problem. I'll update you when I'm done testing.

Well, I may have found the solution. I switched inputs with the Shield, tested 6 movies and all played perfectly! If anything pops up I'll let you know but it appears you can now put Duke Sweden in the "Problems Solved" trashbin ;-)

Ok, maybe. I am referring to the case when while watching the movie, then some few files are added into the drive that was full scanned before. So not to the case when the huge rescan is started and is still going on but the movie playback is started in the middle.

Good to hear. Fingers crossed for your Emotiva MR1 and Zidoo Z9X Pro :)

I guess you weren't crossing your fingers hard enough :(
Well, I'm back to square one. Thought I had all the bugs ironed out except for loss of signal to my subs which I attributed to my MR1. Tried to watch End of Days tonight, it worked fine until 40 minutes in, then the z9x pro froze solid, couldn't click on anything, I actually had to turn it off by the switch in back, turn it back on, then I had to find where in the movie I was because it didn't give me the option to go back to where I left off, then the subs and L/R mains turned off again, so I had to reboot the MR1. By the time I got everything sorted back again I said screw it, this thing's going back tomorrow.

And now a NEW problem. When I hit play on a movie, the audio starts out like 30 times louder volume than it's supposed to, resulting in a LOUD explosion like effect that I thought for sure had fried my speakers. I have to pause or exit the movie and start again to get the normal volume. It never ends!!
