Is it possible to setup kodi to record cable or satellite TV (not IPTV)? What I mean by this is that the HDMI in is working on the X9S and records fine. Is it possible now to route what HDMI in is seeing, to the kodi software so kodi will now see the HDMI in, and then record from within kodi. thanks Kurt
short answer: probably not. unless there is a custom mod for kodi that will see the HDMI in, you can't. I think this question is better asked on kodi forum .
true, but I figured Id ask here as well. Setting up kodi so it can see cable TV rather than just IPTV would be nice. You could run the dish network (for example) output to the zidoo input (in this case HDMI), then have kodi see it, just like it sees IPTV From there all the PVR functions would work

I rarely record, also I record with my pc using VLC with iptv from zidoo in unicast. I never install kodi pvr backend on pc to use pvr from zidoo cast.
